My name is George Alexander and I live near Philadelphia.
I will use Preposterous Press (and this blog) to introduce young English-speaking readers to some of the wonderful stories that come from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. My focus is on stories for readers ages 8-12 (and all the books I discuss are suitable for that age range unless a different age is specified). But I will occasionally write posts about other, related topics. Many posts will be short book reviews of some of my favorites.
The books I discuss will come from all publishers (and, with time, will include some from Preposterous Press itself). The only requirements are that they are English translations of books that were originally written in German, and that I like them.
